My husband, Chris, was in the same small group as Dave and Edna Root at Fellowship Bible Church in Ohio. After they moved to Florida, he came to visit them in 1984. We met after Dave tried to fix Chris up on two blind dates with other ladies that did not go well. We spent a day at EPCOT with the Roots, since I had met them in the bookstore where I had worked. Well, we ended up getting married, so I always felt I had Dave Root to thank for that. Dave painted his old 1911 Crow white and drove us away from our wedding reception in 1985. He has always been a fun character, and we enjoyed seeing him last year with Zelda, with whom he seemed very happy. We know the family will miss him, but are sure he lived a full and happy life, and is singing and having a great time in heaven.

David was a long time friend. We were in the same mini-group together at Fellowship Bible Church in Bainbridge, Ohio. He and his first wife, Edna, were instrumental in introducing me to my wife. He was a good friend
