ILDEFONSO, ANA LYDIA., 81 of Sebring, FL died Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Lydia was born in Brooklyn, New York and she was of Puerto Rican Heritage. Lydia was a community tireless leader and great advocate in her earlier years in the Puerto Rican Community of New York City. She moved to Puerto Rico where she worked for the Governor and served as a director in the Department of Labor. She received her Batchelors degree in Political Science and moving to Sebring in 1989. A member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving family, husband, Alberto LaTorre; daughters, Carmen (Jose) Fantauzzi and Lily (Joe) Guttilla both of New York; numerous brothers and sisters residing in Florida, PR and New York, including her sister, Elda Maldonado of Sebring; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated, 10:00 am, Friday, October 7, 2011 at St. Catherine Catholic Church with burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
