Annie Laura Collier Glisson

GLISSON, ANNIE LAURA COLLIER, 85 of Sebring, FL, passed away, Monday, Nov. 11th. She was born in Highlands County, FL, daughter of the late, Findley Elbert and Mannie DeLesline Collier. Graduate of Sebring High School, Class of 1946. She married Ivey W. Glisson, June 13, 1947. They owned, Sebring Feed and Sebring Western Wear, operating in downtown Sebring for many years, relocating to Hwy. 27 S. Annie Laura loved spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, painting and had such a love for animals. Annie was a member of the Cattleman's Association and Sebring Chamber of Commerce. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, William Travis Collier, Hudson J. Collier, Barron Gates Collier, Lon Tappen Collier, half brothers, Findley Elbert Collier, Alison Deo Collier, Lester Collier and Leslie Collier; half-sisters, Clara Oleida Collier and Celia Collier. She is survived by her loving family, husband of 67 years, Ivey W. (I.W.) Glisson; son, Michael William (Karen) Glisson; daughter, Sharon Lee Glisson; son, Ivey William (Bill) and (Rhonda) Glisson; grandchildren, Kelly Glisson, Joanna Lamarra, Christopher Glisson, William Cody Glisson, William Dillon Glisson; great grandchildren, Gabriella (Gigi)) Lamarra; Massimo (Max) Lamarra and Alayna Glisson; siblings Ruby M. Collier, Alan Collier, Al Lykes (Lynn), Mabel (Carl) Hancock, many nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be a private graveside service. All are invited to the Celebration of Life at Grace Bible Church 4453 Thunderbird Road, Sebring on Friday at 1:00 PM. Casual dress for the service is optional. A fellowship reception will follow the service.
