Charles P. Asbury

Charles P. Asbury, 88 passed away November 27, 2018. A native of Sebring, he graduated from Sebring High School in June 1948, after having enlisted May 1948 with Army Ready Reserves Active Status, He served, reenlisting at 3 year intervals, after 11 years, he was Honorable Discharged May 3, 1954. He attended University of Florida, except for interruption during the Korean War era when he was called into active duty, graduating in 1954 from The College of Architecture Building Contractor. He was with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a civil engineer on construction stateside and in Saudi Arabia for 7 years. He held a Florida statewide General Contractor's license from 1967 until retirement in 1985. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Sebring. He is survived by his two sons James P. Asbury and Richard C. Asbury and their families and his sister Jean M. Asbury. A graveside service will be conducted by Pastor David Juliano at Pinecrest Cemetery at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 8, 2018.
