CANADA, CHARLES E., 79 of Avon Park, died June 13, 2012 at The Palms. Charles was born in Louisville, KY and served as Air Force Staff Sgi, 508th A & E Squadron, during the Korean Conflict as a airplane mechanic. Charles worked 35 years for AT & T Bell Laboratories, Holmdel, NJ as an electrical communications engineer. Then moved to Virginia where he worked as a digital communications engineer until retirement, January 1997. Photography was a hobby. Active in New Monmouth Baptist Church, NJ; Potomac Crest Baptist Church, VA where he served as deacon and Sunday School Teacher. Moving to Avon Park in 2011 to Highlands Ridge and was an active member of Sun Ridge Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Grace; daughter, Cheryl, Vineland, NJ; son and his wife, Phil & Su Canada, Purcellville, VA; brother-in-law, Marvin Phil Jenkins, Chickamauga, GA; several nephews and Nieces. Services will be held 11:000 am, Tuesday at Sun Ridge Baptist Church, with family receiving friends one hour prior. Burial will be Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Memorials are requested to Sun Ridge Baptist Church.
