McCARTY, CHARLES R., age 94 of Sebring, FL died Friday, May 29, 2010. He was born in St. Louis, MO, son of the late Lawrence and Myrtle (Lund) McCarty. A veteran of W.W. II, serving in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Lt. with the U.S. Navy reserve and graduate of Northwestern University, Evanston, IL and Columbia University, NYC, NY. Charles was a retired Bank Examiner, he and his late wife, Dorothy A. McCarty (1/2/2010) moved to Sebring in 1984 from Greensboro, NC and was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. He is survived by his son, Dr. Michael McCarty, MD, Martinsburg, WV and granddaughter, Megan McCarty. The family will receive friends 9am-10:00 am at Morris Funeral Chapel. A mass will be celebrated following at 10:30 am at St. Catherine Catholic Church. Military honors will follow the mass. Entombment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, IL. The family suggests memorials to Good Shepherd Hospice.
