Chris Tubbs, born on July 16, 1954, in Goshen, Indiana, passed away surrounded by his loving family. Most recently residing in Sebring, Florida, Chris was a devoted husband to Mary, with whom he shared 50 wonderful years of marriage, and a proud father to two daughters, Billie Stewart (Jeff) and Krista (Bob) Ford. He adored his grandchildren, Brandon Stewart (Camryn), Cameron Stewart, Parker Ford, and Andrew Ford, and cherished every moment spent with them.
A man of varied talents, Chris began his career as an architect before transitioning to the automotive industry, where he successfully ran an auto parts business for 25 years. His remarkable ability to fix anything earned him the admiration of family and friends alike. Beyond his professional achievements, Chris was a passionate sportsman, having made it to the Olympic trials for canoe racing, and he also excelled in gymnastics and track.
Fishing was not just a hobby for Chris; it was a cherished pastime that brought him joy and tranquility. He loved cubed steak and enjoyed watching the Food Network in his spare time. A fan of Bob Seger, Chris found solace in music, and his favorite place in the world was always by Mary’s side.
Chris is survived by his beloved wife, Mary, his children Billie and Krista, his grandchildren Brandon, Cameron, Parker, Andrew, and his siblings, Becky Caldwell and Mark Tubbs. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for the love he gave and the legacy he leaves behind.
A Memorial service will be Saturday, October 19th at 3:00 PM at Morris Funeral Chapel.
