Life Legacy
My wonderful Aunt Cleo - April 12, 2010
Posted: April 13, 2010 | Last Revised: April 13, 2010

I so dearly loved my Aunt Cleo and Uncle Joe. Aunt Cleo and Uncle Joe allowed me to stay with them one summer in the early 70's. My aunt Cloe taught me that maintaining good health was very important and she was well ahead of her time in this area. She taught me to avoid fatty foods and to get plenty of sleep and exercise. But what I really learned from Aunt Cleo was the importance of helping others through troubling times. I saw her nurse her own husband, then two other family members through difficult health problems. She was so kind and compassionate, truly an angel sent by God. It inspired me to nurse my ex-wife and a close personal friend through trying health crisis. I stopped in on Cleo about three years ago and she was so frustrated by her own health problems. She said "Tommy, I love you and I hope you never have health problems when you get old." I said, "Aunt Cleo, you have helped so many other people through their bouts with health problems, I know the Lord will help you too." Cleo has always been an angel that the Lord has graced us with. She has helped so many others in their time of need. I am proud to say that she was my very special Aunt and when Ken called me to say she had passed away, I was sad, but rejoiced in the fact that she was now sitting at the feet of God. I know that the Lord looked into her loving eyes and said "Cleo, you have been a good and faithful servant, rejoice in the Lord." Our Lord has welcomed her and I know that Uncle Joe has said to her "Cleo, where in the heck have you been." I love you Aunt Cleo!!!!!!!!!!! Tommy.....
