De Loris Ilona Buttram-Rogers

De Loris Ilona Buttram-Rogers (Dee), 93, died August 27, 2021 at Sunny Hills ALF, Sebring, Fl. She was born on March 24, 1928 at the Community Hospital, Geneva, Illinois to Alexander Medard Harley Illinois and Vogel Marie Schell, both of West Chicago Illinois.

After high school she attended Iowa State. She taught school in the Leon county school system and later worked with disabled children though ARC of Highlands County Florida. She especially loved teaching and working with young children.

She married Vernon Otis Buttram Jr. who passed on January 24, 1987. In her latter years, she was married to Charles Lowell Rogers of New Paris, Indiana till his passing in 2017. Deloris and Charlie were members of the Sebring Church of the Brethren, Sebring, Fl. She had a beautiful alto singing voice.

She was survived by one child, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Along with Marilyn Groves and Peg Rogers, step daughters and Randall Wilkins, son-in -law . Preceding her in death are her parents, husbands, Vernon and Charlie, and Julie Wilkins daughter.

Her remains will be cremated though Morris Funeral Chapel in Sebring Florida. At this time no service arrangements have been prepared. Memorials may be made though the Highlands County Humane Society, 7421 Haywood Taylor Blvd. Sebring, Fl 863-655-1522.
