STEVENS, DR. JAMES R., 87, of Sebring, Fl went to be with his Lord on Thursday, April 12, 2012. Dr. Stevens was born in Karnak, IL. He served in W.W. II with the U.S. Army in the South Pacific and was a Disabled Veteran. A graduate of Tennessee Temple University, Chattanooga, TN and pastored churches in IL, KY, Ga, TN and Florida. Dr Stevens and his late wife, Elnora moved to Sebring in 1999 from DeSoto, IL and attended Grace Bible Church. He is survived by his step-children, Robert L. Hart, Ocala, FL, Barry Hallman, Titusville, FL, Brain Hallman, Juanita Bishop, Anna Baker all of Sebring, Elizabeth Thomas, Chattanooga, TN; sister, Alice Harthman, DeSoto, IL, numerous grandchildren and great and great great grandchildren. Funeral servics Tuesday 11:00 am at Grace Bible Church with visitation one hour prior. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
