ALBERT, ERNEST, 87 of Sebring, FL died Sunday, October 31, 2010 peacefully with his family at his side under the care of Cornerstone Hospice. He was born January 9, 1923 in Greenville, SC. Ernie was raised in Miami, FL and graduated from Miami Jackson High School and Miami-Dade Junior College. He served with the U.S. Navy in WW II in the South Pacific. Ernie was in the automotive and real estate business and founder of Albert Properties, Inc., the developers of Hawk's Landing of Sebring. He was a member of Sebring Elks Lodge and St. Catherine Catholic Church. Ernie is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Karen Albert; grandchildren, John, Troy, Alan, Alex and Natalie and one great grandchild, Shawn. The family will receive friends, 5-7 pm, Wednesday with a Rosary at 6:00 pm, at Funeral Chapel, 307 S. Commerce Ave, Sebring. A mass will be celebrated, 10:00 am, Thursday, November 4, 2010 at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Sebring. Military Honors, 2:30 pm at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. The family suggest memorials to Cornerstone Hospice, 2590 Havendale Blvd, Winter Haven, FL 33881.
