Esther K. Howell

Esther P. Howell, 92, of Sebring passed April 3, 2022. She was born in Bartow, FL to the late James Anthony and Sheila Mary Pullen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Duane Howell, December 22, 2010. She moved from Bartow to Sebring and was a graduate of Sebring High School, class of 1947. She then moved to Miami, FL and went to nursing school where she met and married Duane. They moved to Pompano Beach in 1949 and raised their family of four children. From there they retired to Lake City in about 1992. After the passing of Duane, she moved back to Sebring November 2012.

Esther was the church pianist at First Baptist Church Pompano from 1952 to 1992. She then moved to Lake City where she was a nurse at the VA Hospital for many years and played the piano/organ at the Parkview Baptist Church where she was a member.  In 2012 she moved back to Sebring and became a member of the First Baptist Church Sebring where she played the organ/piano.

She is survived by her children, Rebecca (John) Michael of Warner Robbins GA, Mark (Jayne) Howell of Sebring, FL, Mary Katherine (Dean) Clement of Sebring, FL, John Randall (Jenna) Howell, Okeechobee, FL; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Graveside Service will be Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in McAlpin, FL.
