Florence Lee Smart

FLORENCE LEE LUNDY SMART, 80 of Sebring passed away October 16, 2020 at her residence. She was born on January 17, 1940 in Franklin, Indiana to the late, Mason and Edna Lundy. 

She married Orville Longbrake and raised three children. 

In march of 1979 she married Ronald Smart and they moved to Sebring from Kendallville, Indiana. They spent many happy hours with Ron's mother and step-father and his brothers and their families. 

Flo as we called her had a very varied work history.  She worked in the production areas of several large companies in Kendallville, worked as a waitress, worked as a secretary for Good Shepard Hospice here in Sebring and also for the City of Sebring. 

She enjoyed reading and helping Ron with his wood working hobby.  Flo's greatest desire in the last few years was to join her husband in heaven.  She would not want us to grieve for her but wish us to be happy that she is finally where she wants to be and is at peace and out of her pain. 

After Ron passed away, her son Jerry moved into her home with her and became her caregiver.  He dedicated his days to ensuring that she had everything she wanted and needed. 

Flo was the proud grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  Unfortunately, she lost one of her precious grandchildren several years ago. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mason and Edna Lundy; her husband, Ron; her daughter, Jenny and her granddaughter, Trish. 

She is survived by her children, Christine Fleck and Jerry Longbrake; step-daughter, Cheri Hawkins and her grandchildren, Dennis Fleck, Jr., Jason Fleck, Charlie Fleck, Eric Sparkman and Blair Arnold and 10 Great Grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 1:30 PM at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Morris Funeral Chapel. www.morrisfuneralchapel.com
