TOWNSEND, FOREST WILLIAM, 78 of Sebring, FL died Nov. 20, 2010 at Lake Placid Healthcare Center. He was born in Gurnee, IL and retired from the U.S. Air Force, while service he served in the Cold War. Following his military career he work for the Civil Service retiring to move to Sebring in 2004. He is a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, Avon Park, FL. Survivors include his wife, June; children, Aliece Harris, Kristi Townsend, Gilbert Townsend, Melissa Richards; step-children, Roxann Bellaire, Rebecca Becker, Jeffrey Heath, John Heath, Nancy Beguhn, David Kuebler and Cathy Kuebler; brothers, Harry Townsend and Robert Townsend; sisters, Leona Smitherman and Florence Mathis; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held, 7:00 pm, (Today) Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 324 E. Main Street, Avon Park, FL.
