CONWAY, GEORGE WILLIAM, 97 of Sebring, FL went to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 23, 2013 at his residence. George was born in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late, Frank and Mary Jackson Conway. He attended East Tech Trade School, Cleveland. He married Connie Cutler. He and his late brother, Floyd owned Conway Sheet Metal for a number of years. In 1956 he moved to Lake Worth, FL and founded Conway Company (a residential construction co.) George and Floyd developed Maranatha Village (a Christian Retirement Community) in Sebring. In 1982 he married Janelle Nelson and moved to Maranatha Village in 1983. He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. George was a faithful member of Maranatha Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by parents, brother, Floyd; sisters, Elsie Mally and Alta Kopp; and grandson, Troy Conway. He is survived by his wife, Janelle N. Conway, Sebring; son and daughter, Larry (Kiki) Conway, N. Palm Beach, FL and Carol Jean Crossley, St. Augustine, FL; step-sons, Gordon (Molly) Nelson, W. Palm Beach, FL, Timothy Nelson, Lake Worth, FL and David Nelson, W. Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Kymnberly (Ron) Parker, Port St. Lucie, Fl, Elizabeth Nelson, W. Palm Beach, FL, Kevin Van Olphen and Chris Van Olphen; great grandchildren, Brandon, Tyler and Austin Parker. Services, 11:00 am, Thursday with family receiving friends one hour prior at Maranatha Baptist Church. Burial at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family suggest memorials to Wounded Warriors or Florida Home Health.
