Harold (Peppy) Scherck born May 10, 1924 in North Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to George and Elizabeth (Lichtenberger) Scherck, went to be with his Savior on October 12, 2014 from his home in Sebring, FL. His tired heart just quit. He lived all his life in North Fond du Lac retiring from the Soo Line Railroad after 41 years. On April 6, 1956 he was married to Dorothy (Juech-Steiner) at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was loved and will be missed by his wife, Dorothy, his children, Terry (Roberta) Scherck and grandson Devin, Jean (Mark) Fahning and grandchildren Dillon and Claire, Mark (Pam Allender) Steiner and John (Diane) Steiner and their Children. His grandchildren have lasting memories of countless time with grandpa both in Florida and when he visited them in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He played softball most of his life and into his retirement until skin cancer sidelined him. An avid Packer and Brewer fan he also had great hopes for the Cubs but they never came through for him. He was predeceased by a daughter, Jane (1961), and by brothers George, Richard, Carl, Robert and sisters Mildred and Dorothy. One sister Marjorie survives as well as many nieces, nephews and countless friends. He was a member of Community Methodist Church in North Fond du Lac and attended St. John's United Methodist Church in Sebring. Memorials in his name may be directed to Community Methodist Church, 701 Minnesota Ave, North Fond du Lac, WI 54937. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held in Wisconsin in November.
Condolences or Life Stories may be expressed in his Guestbook. Morris Funeral Chapel, Sebring, Fl.
