HELEN H. DOLAN, 88 of Sebring died Thursday, July 14, 2011. She was born September 29, 1922 in Patterson, NY where she grew up. She was a member of the HAGS, (Happy Athletic Girls) who organized a dance for soldiers stationed in the area. This is where she met her husband, Paul B. Dolan and was married on March 23, 1945 in Poughkeepsie, NY and resided in Patterson for over 30 years, During their 60 year marriage Paul and Helen owned and operated a trucking business and the Custard Castle Restaurant. After relocating to Sebring in 1974, they developed Dolan City Mobile Home Park, (now Sunny Pines) on US Hwy 27 and started Sweetie Pye's Restaurant which was turned over to their daughter Pye and son-in-law Nick Galladoro for 10 years. Helen was a hard working, kind and generuos woman. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Avon Park. Helen was adored by her loving daughters, Pamela DeMarie and Pye Galladoro and their husbands Anthony DeMarie and Nick Galladoro all of Sarasota, FL. And will be greatly missed by her loving grandchildren, Michael Galladoro of Sebring, Paul and Peter DeMarie of Sarasota, Gina Galladoro, Nicole Anderson, Plainfield, NJ, four great grandchildren Christina and Gabriella Maxwell, Chaira and Dolan. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5PM at Morris Funeral Chapel. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Paul in Patterson, NY at Maple Avenue Cemetery.
