Imo Jean Smith

SMITH, IMO JEAN, 69, former resident of Lake Placid, died Oct. 6, 2014 in Tavares, FL at Cornerstone Hospice. She was born in Valdosta, GA moving to Lake Placid in 1962 and married Wade Durrance. In 1976 she married J.B. Smith and they moved to Eustis where she worked for Waterman Hospital until they moved back to Lake Placid in 1983. She worked for Barnett Bank and a member of Placid Temple Church of God. She was preceded in death by a brothers, Kenneth, Brinston, James and Jessie Gaskins and one grandchild. She is survived by her husband, J.B. Smith of Leesburg, FL; children, Dawayne Durrance, Bonifay, FL, Joseph B. Smith, Jr, IN, Shannon Durrance, Sebring and Monteen Hicks, Tampa, FL; sisters, Betty Tumbleston, Paisley, FL and Nora Juanita Cameron, Leesburg, FL; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Services, 11:00 am, Saturday (Today) Placid Temple Church of God with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lake Placid.
