They say that your life is made up of two dates and a dash and to make the best of the dash. As a family how do you sum up the importance of those two dates and summarize what an amazing man he was in a few paragraphs about his life.
We could never express the love and admiration his family and friends had for him without writing an entire book. There wasn’t a person he met that was a stranger. He loved like Jesus with his compassion for those less fortunate or in unfortunate situations. His compassion was seen in all his efforts to help. As a mechanic for the Highlands County School Board for 39 years, he used his talents to help those in need of car repairs they couldn’t afford after his retirement. He never made fortunes but felt rich from the gratitude and admiration for his work done here on Earth.
As a Husband, Father, Papa, Brother and Uncle, there is nothing he wouldn’t do for those that loved him the most. We will remember him as a man of God that never wavered in his faith and leading his family at a very young age to lean on God through all of life’s circumstances. That is exactly what we are doing in this time of despair. We trust that one day we will get to join him and the ones gone before him in a kingdom where there is no more sorrow.
December 15th, 1957 marks the day a selfless soul blessed the world to take care of his Father, Mother, Sister and Brother whom he loved so much, to then take care of the family he created out of love. His wife, son, daughter, daughter in law, son in law and 7 beautiful grandchildren.
The dash, well let’s just say, he was never easy to anger, never raised his voice, loved by his acts of kindness and will be remembered by everyone as one of the kindest people to have ever graced their presence.
February 15th, 2024 marks the day his family lost a piece of themselves because he played such an important role in making them who they are today.
We love you forever.
