DEAN, JOHN THERON (Dink), 73 of Sebring, FL, went to be with the Lord on Saturday at Florida Hospital Heartland. He was born in Miami, FL and a graduate of Sebring High School. He served with the United States Army, 1963-1966. John married Barbara Lowery married in February of 1965, and after his tour of duty they returned to Sebring. John began his career as Letter Carrier for the Sebring Post Office. Following his retirement he worked for Annett Bus Company. John was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, serving many years in the choir, taught Sunday School and served on many committees. He was a Past Master of Sebring Masonic Lodge #329 F & AM. Dink was preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne and Charles (Boy) Dean and sisters, Janet Williams and June Terrill. He is survived by his loving family, devoted wife, Barbara; sons, John (Jennifer) and Michael (Candis) Dean all of Sebring; brother, Ronnie (Eunice) Dean, Pompano Beach, FL; sister, Shirlee Hinote, Lorida, FL; sister-in-laws, Janet Dean, Lorida, FL and Verna Dean, Sebring, FL; grandchildren, Andrew, Katie, Josephine, Lowry, Jensen and Jonathan; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 2:30pm - 3:30 pm with a service to follow on Thursday at First Baptist Church, Sebring. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery.
