John E “Jack” White
Jack White went to be with the Lord on October 27, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda McLean White, parents, Alfred John and Elizabeth Lanier White, and brother William Wayne “Bill” White.
 Jack is survived by his son, John Ed White, Jr,  (Wendy) and his daughter, Kelli White Prescott (Bobby),  grandchildren, Ashley, John Andrew, Tyler, Jarrett and Kendall; five  great grandchildren , Taylor, Emma,  John Tyler, Colby and Bentley.
Brother George White (Pam) and Sister Joyce Watters (Malcolm). Nephews and nieces— whom he loved dearly. 
Jack had a career in law enforcement with the majority of his life spent as a Southern Baptist preacher; pastoring Venus Baptist Church, Laurel Fork Baptist Church (Boone NC), Placid Lakes Baptist Church, and Zolfo Springs Baptist Church. Jack was also a life member of Sebring Firemen, Inc. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 5-7 PM at Alan Jay Arena. Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Placid with Reverend Brett Morey and Reverend Mike Ford officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice
