Kathrine A. Pugh

Kathrine A. Pugh, 101, formally of Sebring died Friday, July 18, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born in Winamac, Indiana, Novmeber 4, 1912, to George Korreckt & Amelia (Dennis) Korreckt. She was a member of Sebring Garden Club, Charter Member and Past President of the Sebring Lions Auxillary & St. Catherine's Catholic Church.
She is survived her adopted family, daughter, Carolyn Shick of Jacksonville, and granddaughter, Toscha Blanchard Weathington of Jacksonville. Also grandsons, Jonathan Shick & Shane Weathington, and great grandchildren, Lauren, Ashley & Layton Weathington of Jacksonville. As well as, sister-in-law, Betty Korreckt of Indiana, nieces & nephews of Indiana, Don & Nancy Korreckt and Susie & Mike Gummere, and Bob & Pam Hammond of Illinois along with some very special and faithful friends, Leaner Marklin, Father Sheehan, Dr. Joni Jones, Edna Arehart and Bonnie just to name a few. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude, adopted son, Ivan Blanchard, all her siblings and many of her dearest friends. After the death of her husband in 1976, Katherine dedicated her life to one of service, ministering to those in need and especially befriending those without family. In 2001, she relocated to Jacksonville with her granddaughter's family after a serious stroke and developing Dementia. When she wasn't enjoying her grandchildren, helping in the kitchen or ironing, she was reading her Bible, saying her prayers and typing letters of encouragement to loved ones and other Seniors without family. She loved her Lord, her Bible, her family and being a blessing whenever and wherever she could and her spirit of love & generosity will be greatly missed, though her impact will live on in the lives she touched.
Visitation Sunday 5-7 PM at Morris Funeral Chapel with a Rosary at 6:30PM. Funeral Mass Monday 10AM at St. Catherine Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery, Sebring.
