Kay Arlene Trumble, 83 of Sebring, FL passed away peacefully on August 9, 2024. Born on June 7th, 1941 in Pawnee, IL, Kay was the daughter of William Allen, Gertrude Waddell Allen and Nona Schrier Allen, all of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband Eugene (Gene) Trumble on March 28, 2024.
Kay moved to Sebring, FL in 1972 and became a treasured member of the community. She was an active member of First Sebring Church and devoted much of her time to education, serving as a middle school teacher and guidance counselor at Sebring Middle School and Hill-Gustat Middle School. Her impact on her students was profound, and her dedication to their well-being extended beyond the classroom. Kay was also a dedicated volunteer with the Friends of the Library, further reflecting her passion for education and community service.
She is survived by her sister, Phyllis White; daughters Cindy White (Richard) and Becky Crivello (Drew-deceased); and her grandchildren Whitney McGee (Travis), Angela Stebbins (Dain), Sam McGee, and Laura Salas (Connor). Kay also leaves behind her great-granddaughter Harper Stebbins.
Kay's kindness, dedication and warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of compassion and commitment to education will continue to inspire those she touched throughout her life.
There will be a memorial service for both Gene and Kay held at First Sebring Church on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers , please make donations to Good Shepherd Hospice.
