Leona V Meister

Leona V. Meister, 79 passed away peacefully on July 23, 2022. Leona was artistic and shared her talents of drawing, sewing, and crochet by making cancer hats and Christmas cards for patients at Cassidy Cancer Center and Highlands Hospital. She had a great laugh and beautiful smile. She enjoyed spending time with her family and working puzzle books. Leona is preceded in death by her parents Anson and Sarah Meister, her son Charles P. Cooper, Jr., and brothers, Anson Meister, Preston Meister, Emil Meister and Dana Meister. She is survived by her son and daughter in law Charles A. and Judy Cooper, son and daughter in law Mark and Kim Cooper.; sisters, Lea Zumwalt, Fayne Hebert, Opal Merrill, Rose Carpenter and Mattie Brooke; four grandchildren, Tyler, Trina, Justin Saralyn and four great grandchildren, Kaylah, Hayden Emmitt and Bailee.

Viewing will be held 9:30-10:00 AM on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 854 Memorial Drive, Avon Park, FL with services following. Flowers may be sent to Morris Funeral Chapel, 307 S. Commerce Avenue, Sebring. Although she will be missed, we are thankful she is at peace.
