Lucile M. (Lu) Colangelo

COLANGELO, LUCILLE M. (LU), 69 of Sebring, FL passed away, July 29, 2013 in Orlando, FL. Lu was born in Hobokin, NJ and married Joseph P. Colangelo on December 7, 1963 in Union City, NJ moving to Sebring in 1979 from Meriden, CT. Lu retired from Highlands Woodcrafters as secretary in 2008 and then worked for Andrews Insurance Agency. A lifelong Catholic and a big supporter of the local Boy Scouts. Lu was considered the matriarch of the Colangelo Family and is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Joseph; sons and their wives, Joseph (Carrie) Colangelo, Sebring, Matthew (Dana) Colangelo, Montverde, FL; brother, Gary (Caterina) Maldarelli, Mt. Olive, NJ; grandchildren, Joseph A., Olivia Grace, Tyler and Zachary Paul Colangelo. Visitation 6-8 pm, Thursday at Morris Funeral Chapel with a Mass being celebrated 10:00 am, Friday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Avon Park. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorials to Boy Scout Troop #156, 202 Robert Britt St., Avon Park, FL 33825.
