Mary N. Benschoter

BENSCHOTER, MARY N., age 97, died May 21, 2018 at The Palms of Sebring. Mary was born in Canandaigue, NY, grew up in Lima, NY moving to Sebring in 1946 from Rochester, NY. She worked for Ford Heacock, Sr. at Heacock Insurance from 1950-1970. She married Harvey in 1970 and they traveled to Europe, visiting relatives in Rome, Italy. They lived in Naples and Sarasota returning to Sebring in 1990 following Harvey's retirement, they were married for 39 years and enjoyed traveling Europe, Hawaiian Islands, Alaska and cruising the Caribbean, Mexico, Costa Rica and the Panama Canal. They also traveled all the states in an RV. Preceded in death by husband, Harvey, survived by his children, Ross (Chris) Benschoter, Sebring, FL, Reed (Nancy) Benschoter, Hiram, GA, and Rick (Roberta) Benschoter, Reddick, FL; and his eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; her Nieces, Barbara Lynn and Mary Jo Scarsgard; nephews, James & Stephen Nataline. A Celebration of her Life will be Saturday, June 9th at 9:30 AM in the Kesselring Square at The Palms. Burial was at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, FL.
