Mary Jo Coleman, 97, died on December 8, 2022 at her daughter’s home in Fort Myers, FL.

Born in Palmetto, FL. Graduated from Hillsborough High School, Tampa, FL.  Attended Florida State College for Women (Florida State University). They had four children: Andrea Mickler (Jim), Joy Brinley (Michael), David Coleman, Jr.  (Soloni Gouveia), and Laura Dunn (John).  They were blessed with seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren, all of whom survive her. Her beloved David, Sr. predeceased her in 2005.

A devoted Christian homemaker. She taught Sunday School, volunteered as a church librarian in Ft. She was an avid reader, word search and crossword puzzle doer, and teller of clean, corny jokes.  For example, after she turned 80, she frequently noted with a smile that she no longer needed to worry about dying young.
