JENKINS, MEREDITH E. (BABE), 90 of Sebring, FL, died June 4, 2014. He was born in Waupecong, IN and served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. Babe worked as purchasing agent for Haynes Stellite transferring to Union Carbide in New York City where he retired after 42 years. A Sebring resident since 1988. He was a former member of V.F.W. Post #4300, Sebring and American Legion. Babe is survived by his wife, Betty, Sebring; sons, Jerry (Janet) Jenkins, Anderson, IN and Dennis Jenkins, West Palm Beach, FL; daughter, Christina (Michael) Cernosek, Tampa, FL; brother, Milton Jenkins, Kokomo, IN and sister, Violet Kile, Russiaville, IN; four grandchildren, Jonathan Jenkins, Jennifer (Jeff) Cornett, Jessica and Lauren Cernosek and six great grandchildren, Journey, Justin, Jayden, Jonah, Julia and Joel Cornett. Visitation 3-5 pm, Sunday at Morris Funeral Chapel and beginning at 9:30 am, Monday with services at 10:30 am at Morris Funeral Chapel. Military Honors, 1:30 pm, at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, FL. The family suggests memorials to Cornerstone Hospice, 209 N. Ridgewood Dr., Suite #3, Sebring, FL 33870.
