EVERETT, OTIS EARL, age 81, of Sebring, FL died Monday, May 25, 2009 at Florida Hospital, Lake Placid, FL. Otis was born in High Springs, FL, son of the late, Clyatt and Edna (Churchill) Everett. He served in the U.S. Army, W.W. II. Otis retired as County Executive Agent for the Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service. A member of Cherry Hill Masonic Lodge #12, High Springs, FL. In the early years of the Annett Bus Lines, Otis was proud to serve as a driver.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Sebring and a deacon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris. Otis is survied by his step children and their families, Valerie M. (John) Anders, Currie, NC, Miles McGee, Maurice (Cindy) McGee and Kelly (Jennifer) McGee all of Sebring; sisters, Betty James, Jacksonville, FL and Charlene LaDue. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm with a service to follow on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at First Baptist Church, Sebring.
Burial will be 11:00 am, Friday at Phillipi Baptist Church Cemetery, Ft. White, FL.
Memorials are requested to First Baptist Church. MORRIS FUNERAL CHAPEL.
