Roy Dean Blackburn

Roy Dean Blackburn, age 70, passed away on July 18, 2024. He was born on January 28, 1954 in Martin, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Grace Virginia Blackburn, father-in-law, Max Edwards, brother, Ruey Wray Blackburn, sisters, Hila Hinkle and Florence Burcham, brother-in-laws, Kenneth Hinkle, Roger Burcham, Ben Velasquez and Edgel Moore, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Deborah Blackburn; daughter, Sarah (Trevor) Lavender; son, Michael Dean Blackburn. His precious granddaughter, Serenity Grace Lavender and grandson, Conner Dean Lavender; sisters, Annetta Jo Velasquez, Bobbie Ann Moore and Rosalee (Wayne) Buchanan, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Roy retired from the City of Sebring after 27 years of service in February of 2023.

He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Services will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 2 pm at Bible Fellowship Church in Sebring with Rev. Todd Patterson, officiating.
