Roy Eugene Griffis 83 of Venus passed away February 1, 2015 in Sebring, FL He was born in Gainesville, FL moving to this area in 1987 from Hollywood, FL where is was a Heavy Equipment Operator for the City of Hollywood. He attended the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints. He is survived by his wife, Annette, son Roy E. Griffis, Jr of Lake Worth, FL, Daughter, Patricia Delponte of Pembroke Pines, FL. Brothers - Raymond Charles and Vernon of Venus, Franklin of Deland, FL and Bob of Jasper, FL , Sister, Lavonia Link of Melrose, FL 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints in Sebring.
