CRIST, VICTORIA, 87 of Sebring, FL died April 6, 2013 in Dade City, FL. Vickie was born in Ashland, AL moving to Sebring in 1946 following the marriage to George N. Crist. She started as Matron of the Highlands County Sheriffs Department, going to work for the Sheriffs Department in 1952 along side her husband, George who was the jailer. She held several positions in the Sheriffs department before retiring in 1990 after 37 ½ years. She also worked along side George in the photography business from 1966 until his death in 1980. They were also one of the founders of the Sebring High Band Parents Association. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Sebring. She enjoyed quilting and a sewing group for many years. Friday evenings she enjoyed playing cards. A member of the Sebring Firemen Inc. Auxiliary and a volunteer of the 12 hours of Sebring by providing meals for the Race Security workers. Vickie is survived by her loving family, daughter, Jean Willis, grandsons, Tommy (Jessica) Warren, Jr., all of Land O Lakes, FL and Jason Clyde (Amy) Willis, Old Hickory, TN; brother, Theron (Frances) Howard, Bessemer, AL, great grandchildren, Katlyn, Zachary and Mason Warren. The family will receive friends, 1-2 pm, Friday with a service to follow at 2:00 pm at Morris Funeral Chapel with Dr. Allen Higgenbotham officiating. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
