Virginia Lucy Chapman

Virginia L. Chapman, 88, passed away on January 9, 2025 in Sebring, FL.  She was born in Buffalo, NY on August 29, 1936 then moved to Orlando, FL where she met the love of her life Donald O. Chapman, who preceded in death in 2009.  They were married 54 years.  Moved to Lake Placid, FL in 1969. Donald was a former employee of Florida Power Corporation now known as Duke Energy.

She is survived by her Son David C. Chapman and wife Marie, Son Dale C. Chapman and wife Anjelika and Daughter Peggy D. Chapman; Grandsons Kyle, Kevin, Kurt, Devyn and Brad; Granddaughter, Michelle and 12 great-grandchildren.

Virginia was a housewife and served transporting Missionaries within the church at Southside Baptist Church to the Airport when needed.  She also served working in Awana's (Approved Workman are not Ashamed) many years which is a Bible based program for children.  She was loved and will be greatly missed.

The visitation will be Tuesday, January 14th from 10-11:00 am with the funeral at 11:00 am at the Morris Funeral Chapel, Sebring.  Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Lake Placid, FL.  Send Donations in lieu of flowers to the Gideons and Awana's, mail to Southside Baptist Church, 379 S.
