William F. "Bill" Locke

William F. “Bill” Locke, born in Marianna, Florida January 2, 1939, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 surrounded by his family in his home in Sebring, Florida. Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years Malta Locke, his three children, Lindsey (Richard) Combs, Maggie (Rotesak) Nampon, and John (Debbie) Locke, his three grandsons, Malcolm Locke, Spenser Nampon, and Carson Nampon, and his 96-year-old stepfather John R. Moore. Bill, a loving husband and father, was a career educator and child advocate who believed all children deserve a quality education. His career in Highlands County spanned thirty years, including work in Sebring Middle School, Sebring High School, and South Florida Community College, and teaching adults in the prison system. William F. was an avid fisherman and hunter and passed his love of nature and sport on to his family and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at Morris Funeral Chapel, 307 South Commerce Avenue, Sebring, FL 33870.
